DKW ORe 350 (1929) – DKW has started very early to manufacture their supercharged production racer and to sell them to private race drivers.Being successfull on the race track was one of the keys to be successful in sales.
DKW – Tretauto – The DKW-marketing was excellent,several types of DKW – pedal cars were produced and made children happy
DKW – Front Wheel Drive Car DKW F 1 (1931) – the base of thousands of DKW-cars and the success of the DKW- and Auto Union brand and as well for the well known post war Trabant-car.
LOMOS scooter (1921/22) – Obviously the first scooter in the history of motor vehicles-unfortunately economically still not successful but „reinvented“ in the fifties and sixties.It was motorised with the engine of the Reichsfahrtmodell.
DKW-Reichsfahrtmodell (1921) – The first DKW-motor bike,several models of this type participated successfully in the „Richsfahrt“,a reliability run between Berlin and Heidelberg
DKW – Two stroke engine to mobilise bicycles (1919) – The first two wheeler from Zschopau ( in German language well known as „Asswarmer“)
(D)es (K)naben (W)unsch 1919 – (German for the boys dream,featuring the letters DKW) The first combustion engine made by DKW,offered as a boys toy and demo unit for schools It was used to operate small generators and steam engine toys.

We are proud to announce that Prof. Cornel Stan (westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau) will give us a lecture about “Future Mobility”. He has already published some very interesting books, telling the readers his ideas about future vehicles and future traffic.
He is a qualified expert in talking about “new Mobility”.

The first ideas to design „the best car in the world „were born at Mercedes in the middle of the 50ies of the last century. Head of the Design Department Fritz Nallinger showed with his project W100, what was technically possible at this time – air suspension, servo brake, three speed automatic transmission, a powerful V8 engine with a displacement of 6,3ccm, later 6,9ccm, 250 horsepower and servo drives for most accessories like seats, windows, sunroof and many others.
Between 2000 and 3000 cars of all types were manufactured between 1963 and 1981. The W100 became the car for statesmen, artists and wealthy entrepreneurs.

A very interesting fotoshooting day. The innovative 1932 Horch 500 B manufactured at Horch / Zwickau with body from Glaser /Radeberg meets top innovative R&D Center for driving without driver.
The only known Horch 500 B with 4 door Glaser-Sedan-Convertible body is part of the exhibition now. After some service measures we will bring it back to the road in 2023.
